Cloud Forest Jewels of Colombia
Tatamá & Otun Quimbaya
Colombia’s Tatamá Massif is one of the most electrifying birding landscapes in the Neotropics — a dramatic meeting point between the Western Andes and the lush Chocó bioregion, where clouds cling to steep ridges and biodiversity reaches astonishing levels. Our tour focuses on the legendary Montezuma Reserve and its surrounding elevations, where mixed flocks swirl through mossy forest and feeders can bring you face-to-face with some of Colombia’s most sought-after endemics. From there, we’ll explore the beautiful Otún Quimbaya Fauna and Flora Sanctuary, a haven of Andean foothill forest known for its rich birdlife, excellent trails, and chances at species that feel almost mythical until they appear in the scope.
